This February, the 11th Annual Love Run 5K, hosted by DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston, brought our community together once again in support of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month and our work at WRCDV.
This year’s event was the largest yet, with more than 500 runners and walkers participating. The race also set a new fundraising record, generating more than $31,000 for WRCDV to support services for survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault and their children!
The Love Run has become a meaningful annual tradition in DeKalb County thanks to the leadership of District Attorney Sherry Boston and her amazing team. Their commitment to raising awareness about teen dating violence and to supporting survivors in our community has helped the event grow every year.
As reported by The Champion Newspaper, this year’s race was another record-breaking success and reflected strong community support for survivors and their families. You can read more about the event here:https://thechampionnewspaper.com/record-breaking-event-raises-funds-for-womens-resource-center/
We are incredibly grateful to DA Boston and the entire team at the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office, as well as to the sponsors, fundraisers, teams, vendors, volunteers, and participants who made the morning such a success.
Thank you for showing up for survivors and helping ensure that families in our community have access to safety, support, and hope. We look forward to seeing everyone again at the 12th Annual Love Run 5K on February 27, 2027. 💜🏃🏾♀️

It is truly heartening to see such a strong turnout for the Love Run 5K, especially with the dedicated support of DA Sherry Boston. Reading about how the funds specifically benefit the Women’s Resource Centre to help provide a safe haven for those escaping domestic violence really puts the importance of these community events into perspective. It reminds me of how collective effort can tackle such heavy social issues, much like how students might seek out the new assignment help in Australia to navigate their own overwhelming academic pressures while trying to stay involved in local causes. I often wonder if the organizers plan to make this an annual tradition or if they have other satellite events throughout the year…
It’s amazing to see how the Love Run 5K keeps growing every year—500+ participants and over $31,000 raised is truly inspiring! Events like this show how strong a community can be when it comes together for such an important cause. Supporting survivors and raising awareness about teen dating violence makes a real difference.
Even something as simple as playing a game like Geometry Dash Lite reminds me how persistence matters—just like in real life, you keep trying, keep improving, and eventually overcome challenges. Huge respect to everyone involved in making this event such a success!
