In 2008, Trade the Malls for Walls was born out of a desire to create lasting change for families rebuilding their lives after experiencing domestic violence. Instead of giving toys that are quickly outgrown or forgotten, this initiative empowers holiday donors to provide something truly transformative: the gift of home.
Through your generosity, you can help families served by the WRC turn empty spaces into warm, welcoming homes. Each donor group receives a personalized wish list filled with essential items like cozy bedding, dishes, cookware, and cleaning supplies—everyday items that bring stability and dignity to a new chapter in life. Winter clothing and thoughtful gifts for every family member ensure that the holiday season is not only joyful but also filled with love and care.
