We were proud to join our partners across the county for the kick-off event for DeKalb's Ending Abuse in Later Life project. Our legal advocates are helping conduct monthly specialized training sessions for 850 law enforcement officers, judges, prosecutors and victim service providers who come into contact with older adults experiencing abuse. We are proud to be partnering with the DeKalb Police Department, Sheriff's Office, Solicitor-General's Office and Office of Senior Affairs on this vital new undertaking. Our team is one of only nine such groups across the country who are working to create systemic change in outcomes for older adults experiencing domestic violence or other forms of abuse.
