35th Annual Candlelight Vigil

On October 8, In Safe Company held our 35th annual Candlelight Vigil commemorating Domestic Violence Awareness Month. During the vigil, we read the names of 155 Georgians killed in DV homicides in 2025.

Each one was a whole life: a laugh someone still hears, a seat at a table that is now empty, a phone number someone can’t bring themselves to delete.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month is an opportunity to remember those taken and to recommit ourselves to bringing this violence to an end. Our challenge to our attendees was to help us build safe company in every home and across this whole community, until the day when our work is no longer needed.
