“Necessity is the mother of invention.” My grandmother often used this phrase
when trying to figure out a task. Since COVID, I hear her voice repeating this phrase loudly and often. Like so much else, our work at Women’s Resource Center had to be reimagined and we found that some of our new ways of doing things should be here to stay, even beyond the pandemic. No one could have told us that we would have to do our work
differently for 2 years or more and that we would take refuge in our new experience. Our work at Women’s Resource Center took drastic shifts and what we’ve come to embrace is that some changes, even those forced upon us, have spurred some new ways of doing our work. And that’s a good thing!
