Cassie Velasco is one of Atlanta's 40 Under 40 Inspiring Innovators

Our Director of Children’s Programming Cassandra Velasco Adams has been named to Best Self Atlanta Magazine's 40 Under 40 Inspiring Innovators! She’s been a part of the team at WRCDV since 2014 when she began as a volunteer family and child advocate, and has made such an incredible impact on the lives of the children and mothers that we support during that time. During COVID, she developed creative solutions to safely engage with DV survivors and their children to ensure their traumas weren’t further compounded by the isolation of pandemic.
