Atlanta News First: there is life after leaving an awful situation

A recent report from Atlanta News First highlights the crucial work being done at our domestic violence safe house.


The Three Degree Guarantee program, dedicated to raising funds for nonprofit organizations in metro Atlanta, has brought attention to the importance of life after leaving an abusive situation. For survivors of domestic violence, finding peace often begins with a call to us.


Dr. Nancy Slater, a survivor herself, plays a vital role at the safe house, greeting new guests who arrive with little more than clothes on their backs. She witnesses the fear their eyes and, over time, sees the transformative changes as they smile again and rediscover their true selves. Nancy understands their experiences and knows which resources and organizations can provide the support needed for their individual paths to healing.
