About the event
Please join GABWA's public interest section and the Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence for "Dynamics of IPV: Nuances When Survivors Engage Systemic Relief" on October 22 at 7pm. Facilitated by WRC's Chief Program Officer Barbara Gibson and Director of Legal Services YuHua Chen, and moderated by GABWA public interest committee co-chair and WRCDV Community Engagement Board member Emily Early, this program addresses the implications of family violence/intimate partner violence when survivors seek legal relief. Participants will be able to identify behavioral patterns employed by survivors, as well as emotional and psychological factors as they cope with the impact of trauma. Attendees will enhance their knowledge of the benefits and barriers to systemic intervention, including the obstacles that IPV survivors face when departing an abusive relationship. CLE credit will be provided, and the program will be virtual.
