We are grateful to 11Alive for covering our Champions for Change fundraiser last night. Reporters spoke with Natasha Trethewey about her mother's legacy, and how the tragedy of her murder led to countless lives being saved by our center.
“I think my mother’s story helps us to understand just how urgent the situation is for so many people and how difficult it is -- and yet, there is a way we can all be a part of what changes and makes it such that women like that can survive," Trethewey said.
