Dive into chair design in Please Be Seated, a new exhibit at the Museum of Design Atlanta that invites you to rethink the roles of chairs in our lives.

Please Be Seated also explores Shirley Chisholm's iconic statement, "If they don't give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair," with an interactive activity that asks visitors to think about chairs as symbols of space, identity, and empowerment. With the guidance of our partner Paint Love, DV survivors at our safe house contributed a chair to the exhibit as a reminder that the needs of domestic violence survivors should always be part of the conversation.
